Festival Launch Street Party People

In and around Parish Church, Oldham Town Centre
Activities
for all the family as communities from across
the Oldham Borough come together to promote
and celebrate the launch of five weeks
of community event activity. Five
zones will occupy different parts of Oldham
Town Centre exhibiting just how dynamic the
diversity of the borough really is.
Oldham's Got Talent Community Stage
Oldham Youth Service and Age Concern combine to present a host of local talent young and old. The stage will run throughout the event from 12pm-4.30pm. Watch this space for the final stage schedule.
Oldham Sports Development Street Dance Splash
This Sports Development initiative just goes from strength to strength. Young people from across the Borough limber up for their major perfomance at Oldham Coliseum.
Lead by the infectiously energetic Danny Price you might find that you are joining in too.

The
Paradise Garden
Be
amazed at the transformation of the Town Centre
with a specially commissioned Art installation
placed around Parish Church Gardens and planters around the town centre, it
really will be a garden with a difference!!
The work will be created by Leaf Arts working
with children and community groups from around
the borough. Further details TBA

Wayfinding Windows travelling Gallery
Oldham College students have been working with The Community Company and Oldham Primary Care Trust to create special colour coded images to be installed in the new Oldham Town Centre Integrated Care Centre or (ICC). Only six pieces of work can be used in the final building and this is your chance to vote for your favorite image. The pictures will be displayed around the festival site. Get a voting card from a Festival steward and cast your vote, then return your card to a Festival volunteer. The favorite images will be announced at a special event to be confirmed.

Are you planning an event in the Oldham Borough between 12th July -9th August ?
You can be part of the Festival of Diversity Showcase by completing and returning the Showcase event entry form below. All we request is that you consider the following.
1. Your event must be taking place in the Oldham Borough.
2. Your event takes place between 12th July and 9th August.
3. Your event welcomes the participation and/or engagement of people from the diverse communities of Oldham.
