A photographic exhibition by local artist and photographer Peter Walker, will be on show in Gallery Oldham's Community Gallery from 21st June to 26th July. The exhibition forms part of an on-going project by the artists that aims to celebrate the diversity of Oldham's neighbourhoods and workplaces. Most of the photographs included in the exhibition have been taken at community events, or as the product of Peter's walks around Oldham. Other images are the result of partnership working with the organisations Peacemaker and Key To The Door .

The Oldham Dance Platform process has been established for two and a half
years encouraging local children and young people to participate in the creation
of a major schools and community dance for cohesion event. The event
provides participants with the opportunity to meet and perform with other
young people from different cultures and backgrounds from across the
Oldham Borough. A key aimof the event is to strengthern the links between communities and schools and provide a platform for diverse cultures to
integrate and celebrate through dance and movement. Oldham Dance Platform
is a groundbreaking initiative lead by Oldham Sports Development.

Oldham Gateway Club have teamed up with The All Stars Drama Group to perform this show. The members decided many months ago that they would like to showcase their talents to a wider audience. Gaining recognition for the performers is a primary aim of the group who are excited and delighted to be performing at The Coliseum Theatre for the first time. Audiences are sure to enjoy this festival first.

In recent years there has been a resurgence in the popularity of Media Studies as a discrete subject in schools. In Oldham many of the Secondary Schools now offer it as a GCSE subject because of its popularity amongst young people. This event showcases a range of exciting projects undertaken by pupils across the Borough, expect to see music videos, documentaries and mini narratives! With contribution from North Chadderton, South Chadderton, Royton and Crompton, Kaskenmoor and Breeze Hill pupils will present the selected films for your enjoyment. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Oldham's young film makers of the future.

For six years Age Concern Oldham has showcased the talents of local over 60's
with an annual talent contest. Up to twenty acts will take to the stage to perform
at the Coliseum Theatre. The competition is open to anyone aged 60 and over
who lives in the Oldham Borough and can sing, dance, perform a magic trick,
tell a joke or entertain an audience in any way for 6 minutes. Acts can contain up
to four people plus an accompanist. To be part of the audience and cheer
the acts along contact the Coliseum Box Office.

| 11th Saddleworth Folk Festival |

The magnificent landscape of Saddleworth provides the ideal backdrop for this festival of folk music, song and dance. the Festival has over 70 events during the weekend, including several concerts ( featuring local, national and international artists), musicians' sessions, singarounds, ceilidh, workshops, street entertainment, parade, craft fair, cafe culture and activities for children. Don't miss the official Opening Ceremony on Saturday morning followed by a free brass band concert. The event takes place in several venues in the villages of Uppermill and Greenfield, many people camp out to enjoy the full weekends activity. Camping is available on the purchase of a ticket on Churchill Playing Fields.

Come and join the residents of Higginshaw Estate and surrounding areas in what will be the twenty fifth Anniversary of the Groundwork Trust. Towards Tomorrow is the product of Peshkar's Unclaimed project: a piece of drama inspired by and including the asccounts of first generation British Asian migrants.
